Whats good fam its time to freshin up The sampling skills, In this VIP SOUNDLAB Episode #4 Tutorial we learn how to sample and route audio from your DAW to Maschine 1.8 This is a powerful and useful work flow all around. Any real producer knows you have to have sampling and routing skills on point if you are doing Hip Hop music and sampling Mp3's,WAV., AIFF, Ipod, records,CD's,DVD's and other sources of audio files etc. So this video will have you sampling like a pro from your DAW to maschine in no time !!! Keep in mind this video is about using the internal feature to sample. If you want to sample an outside source you have to use your soundcard or audio interface inputs. Polar is an old school harmonizing and pitch-shifter effect with a host of modern tricks up its sleeves. Use it for classic harmonizing, stereo-widening, and realtime pitch-shifting, or experiment with buffer looping and audio freezing to create otherworldly effects.Load up Polar in the rack, and it will instantly make your sounds wider. Introduce slight pitch-shifting to make it even bigger. Turn the Shifters to add harmonics — up to two octaves above — or radically change the pitch down to two octaves below. Finish up your patch by turning on the filter, manipulated by the built-in LFO and envelope.If you are a singer, producer, guitarist or remixer who is looking for transparent pitch-shifting, creative ways of turning bland recordings into wide, evolving soundscapes — or want to completely mangle a sound into an interesting mess, Polar brings all this and much more to your Reason rack

Pulsar
Pulsar LGM-1 is a dual channel modulation powerhouse for the Reason rack. We call it an LFO—but it’s also a powerful little synth in its own right. For tweakers, Pulsar makes every single thing in the rack a little bit better. For back-of-the-rackophobes it comes with patches containing everything from lush evolving pads to the grittiest of wobble basses.
Need to add slow modulation to a filter, or alter the speed of a tremolo as you trigger new notes? Pulsar is up for any task. Turn up the Shuffle parameter to introduce some irregularity to your modulation. Smooth out sharp waveforms using Lag. Or go all-out bonkers and let LFO2 trigger the built-in envelope, set to change the rate of LFO2, and route the combined outputs of both LFOs to control the rate of LFO1.

Maschine Controller Buggin ???

Question : My Maschine / Mikro controller does not start what should I do ???
If this happens to you it can get your heart pumping and ready to curse out a Native Instruments Rep. But rest assured your Maschine controller is fine. What happens is your software had a Glitch where the software will turn the Brightness setting on your screen off. If you go to the preference box it will look locked. If you unplug or plug your controller back in you will get the same results and start to sweat. Again rest assured its only a Glitch. This can be caused by a Plugin you may have started and it did not agree with the software and to be honest it can be many different factors to cause this glitch. Heres the Fix you will need two things. Log into your NI Account and download the Maschine_Controller_301_PC_p Zip. and the Controller_Editor_145U_PC Zip. and follow these Instructions from our friends over at Native Instruments.

1. Make sure that the MASCHINE software is installed on your computer.
2. Download the latest version of the CONTROLLER EDITOR from the NI Free Updates page.
3. When the CONTROLLER EDITOR download is finished, disconnect all NI controllers from the computer and restart it.
Don't start any audio application!
4. Install the latest CONTROLLER EDITOR version you just downloaded. If the computer asks if you want to restart, confirm this.
5. Connect the MASCHINE controller to the computer. It should work now. Take a deep breath and say WHEEEEEEEEEEW !!!!!! lol ;)
6. I keep both of these files backed up in our VIP Database just in case of situations like this.
